>>11657448I'm from NYC, over here they won't test you unless you're having life threatening symptoms, they just tell you to go home, rest, and take tylenol or some shit.
I took the subway to work everyday up until the mid March, so I think that's roughly when I got it, had the 100 degree fever, worst splitting headache of my life, and slightly sore throat, lasted about 3 days. Later I got what I could best describe as a dry tickle in my chest like I wanted to cough to get something out, but whenever I coughed it had no effect, this later grew into a dry cough with raspy breathing, it felt like i was a cat purring when I would breathe, I would get the urge to cough once again to clear the congestion but to no avail it was like I had some permanent congestion in my respiratory system that wouldn't clear.
Eventually after about 2-3 weeks of discomfort it started to clear up, that's when I started experiencing dizziness and a feeling of almost like fainting, like I was going to fall asleep in the supermarket standing in line, not sure if it was psychosomatic but I also experienced lots of little symptoms ranging from random nerve pains to elevated heart rate.
Eventually all these symptoms faded away, but something that persists and rears it's head to this day is the raspy purring in my lungs, it just comes back at the slightest provocation of wind+cold, then it goes away, but it never goes away for good, sometimes it stays away longer but it comes back.
I do some of those Wim Hof breathing exercises to open up my lungs and I think it might help, I also have an oximeter and when I feel the congestion coming up by oximeter drops to around 94-95 when I'm sitting, then raises back up 97 if I stand up and move around. If my lungs feel clear then my average will be 96-97 sitting, 98-99 when I stand up and move around. I'm also able to hold my breath for much longer on the breathing exercises when I don't have the weird raspy purr in my chest.
