Education Bubbles and COVID-19

The grade school bubble:
>Everything I teach can be learned online.
>I am a glorified babysitter.
The college bubble:
>Sure you COULD take the same course taught by an MIT professor online...
The journal bubble:
>We don't physically print journals anymore...
>Fee keeps increasing anyway.
The conference bubble:
>This bag lunch is worth at least $100.

Now that schools and conferences have all figured out the logistics of operating online, will the bloated education system finally collapse?

If Conferences Were Music Festivals...
>Thousands of fans show up.
>Performers pay $100 to play on stage.
>Headliners get paid travel to the event; still play for free.
>Audience tickets $500.
