However, this is a statistics game. If they interstellar civilizations are that common, it would mean that life is so common that many more galaxies would be absolutely filled with millions of years older dyson swarms. If they had millions of years head start, then not only a significant portion of their galaxy would be filled with Dyson swarms, but they would also have to sent ships to other galaxies to do the same even if it takes them millions of years to reach each one of them.
