Does the twin 'paradox' thought experiment mean that time dilation is only objectively a result of warped spacetime from acceleration/gravity.

Because in the case with special relativity, two observers moving relative to each other in inertial frames can both say that it is the other who is moving and so both will say the other is affected by time dilation.
