Some thoughts on the mind, mind partially altered. Ballmer Peak. Etc.

I intend this thread to be serious.

What is your thinking about the drunk state? Discarding the (almost inevitable) consumption and long-term effect.

It seems to alter motor coordination but memory and logic? apparently the rest of the mind/brain works without limitations aside some speed handicap, but obviously there is another effect that alters "what makes sense to think". Are there studies on drunkenness and mental indixes (see IQ, etc.)?

Why does the "broken thought" process "seem" to work in "interesting" ways? or at least it seems to be interesting?

The same could be said for other drugs?

Is it an illusion or reality?

The negative effect (on lifespan) of alcohol seems to vary by ethnicity, but being beneficial at low doses for (details here) Europeans. Although I don't want to argue on that topic.

I would prefer to limit the thread paper, solid evidence or an attempt at seriousness with your own reflection-experience, but I guess this issue has not been studied or am I wrong?

I wouldn't mind if this thread dies with 0 answers.
