Ecology of Animal Death

What happens when bears or beavers or other animals living in confined spaces with other members of their species pass away inside the den itself? I've heard dogs will go out on their own to die, but I always assumed that was to avoid harassment rather than ensure the cleanliness of the den - but it would also be sensible that the harassment evolved to ensure that sickly animals would leave so as not to spread disease.

Will a bear or beaver go out on its own to die, too? Or do their fellow residents just push them out of the den when they die?
