Dogma is a funny thing

There were initiatives in the 19th century to codify law books in symbolic logic, completely abandoned, I don't wonder why. Dogma, a refusal to justify itself, to be open to closer inspection. What if laws were inefficient or contradictory or leading to system failure? Dogma does not care, because it stands for the authority of the people or class putting the statements forward, and not for the statements validity in themselves.
