>took CHEM 111 (introduction to chemistry I)
>killed it, finished with an A
>took CHEM 112 (introduction to chemistry II)
>scraped by with a C
I will admit that I put significantly less time into my CHEM 112 because I was also taking botany and cellular developmental biology at the same time, whereas my first chem semester I was taking only zoology, oceanography, and biometry
I'm taking organic chemistry 1 and organic chemistry 2 over the summer, online. I figure it's a golden opportunity, since everyone says OCHEM is so hard and the exams can't possibly be proctored so I can cheat if needed. I'm reading Organic Chemistry as a Second Language while reading some of the assigned textbook, and it doesn't seem hard at all so far. It seems easier than normal chem because there aren't any bullshit word problems or formulas to memorize. Why does this class filter so many people?
