I have to do a five minute presentation on an ongoing research topic in my field. The point is to "dumb" down an going research topic or paper for a scientific community that isn't necessarily mathematicans. Are there any papers anyone would suggest to make my presentation about? I'm a junior undergrad math major so the topic should be understandable for me, any math topic should suffice as long as it isn't too complex. If i had a preference I would choose ongoing research on mathematical optimization or operations research. Any suggestions or starting points would be really help.
