To cut straight to the chase:
Need help on possibly choosing a new study subject. tl;dr at the end
The last few years of studying Maths and then Physics showed me I'm a way bigger brainlet than I thought. I got absolutely filtered on multiple basic topics (curvilinear coordinates, linear maps, determinants, electromagnetism to name a few) and while I (barely) got over some of these, it was an uphill battle with a lot of time poured into it to little return. Should have known sooner, but I can't keep this up. I had the mentality of doing nothing but Physics in life a few years ago, but I've changed and these are fields where you pretty much have to live for what you do, also (especially) after finishing your studies.
So I'm looking for something that's doable for my brand of retard, offers some basic prospects with clear work-life separation, and also isn't a slog of a field. Just something comfy which gets me through life and is closed off for itself.
This might've been better off on /adv/ but I'd still like to stay somewhere in STEM if possible so thought I'd ask here. Before getting into Physics/Maths I thought a lot about CS, but back then I didn't want to risk being a codemonkey, which honestly doesn't sound so bad anymore now. I also know there's a fair bunch of Maths involved, but I don't know how bad it is exactly. I like Maths but I can't afford getting constant mental blockades again. So hit me with anything that seems could fit. Even better if you have personal insights. The best fit may not exist in uni, but I have to look into all avenues. I'm deeply thankful for your help.
tl;dr
Got filtered early on in Maths and Physics. Now looking for something doable, somewhat enjoyable with ok career prospects and a clear work-life separation. Throw whatever seems to fit at me. CS could be nice but I'd maybe get filtered by Maths there too. This could've been in /adv/ but I felt you guys had a better picture when it comes to STEM.
Earnest thanks for any help.
