At 14:40 the interview asks "wouldn't an illusion mean that something is being fooled?" To which Dennet replies "That's a good question, but no! That's what illusion used to mean, but young people are now understanding the 'user illusion', like the screen on your smartphone or laptop, which is a brilliantly designed metaphorical representation of what's actually happening, which is the computation and logic under the hood. That's what consciousness is. It's not that you're the victim of the illusion, but the beneficiary..." He goes on explaining from there.
This argument he is making is a dualist one, so why is it that people who take his position are not dualists when he himself is a dualist?
