On 4chan everyone likes being contrarian, the problem is that politics and philosophy actually is something you can coherently argue about, science and math, you really can't. This makes half the threads on this board either be obvious bait "0.999 != 1", "proof 1=2 using division by zero", "TOOTHPASTE GIVES YOU CANCER THE EARTH IS FLAT etc, or meta-science threads like, "X MAJOR IS BETTER THAN Y", "fuck computer science", "stupid celebrity said x about y".
