>>11640601Xi is actually a fan of him and the author became something of a "grand vision" advisor to the CCP's technocratic wing these days.
In fact, he didnt really bash the CCP so much as he is bashing unscientific thinking and dogmatism, as well as populist democracy (the purges on the cultural revolution were in fact populist democratic purges carried out by fanatic grass-roots true-believers, while those who worked on grand science projects enjoyed CCP protection).
He is 100% on the side of totalitarianism and technocratic rule and even admitted as much when interviewed by western journalists (he even said that he will leave China if it turns into a democracy, since this would mean cultural revolution 2.0 breaking out).
He is someone who literally hates democracy, thinks that people are inherently emotionally driven and stupid and cant wait for some high concept AI to rule over humanity.
tl;dr, he's the perfect CCP supporter actually.
