Is it possible to realize an organism (small, like a pathogen) designed completely from scratch, possibly via gene-altering technology like CRISPR-Cas9? As in, once you design it, how do you physically manufacture it? I'm wondering if this could be used for medical advancements, artificially creating newly-designed cells.
