Where do they find these cyborgs? Are they mostly Indians/Chinese who cheat back in their homeland? Having a 3.25 at my college qualified you for research.

Most of the time the grad-school candidate will stack his classes with easy classes in order to pad his GPA. You aren't expected to be a math major and take philosophy and get an A or be a Chem E. major and get an A in U.S. constitution.

Unfortunately, colleges have forgotten that the classes you take should be more of a factor rather than simply """muh GPA"". Protip: where you go to undergrad does not matter and the education is arguably equal. In this day and age it's more about the following you can build to get this supposed "illustrious job".

Also another trick played by the foreign applicants is taking a language class. It boosts your credit hours being bilingual and most Indians/SE Asians have to learn English at some point in their life. Such is the state of affairs when US students are expected to learn a language other than English for grad school when other nationalities are. This is why Latin should be brought back into academia and it's to give native English speakers jobs against affirmative action.

Also, don't even get me started on the English proficiency test which is piss easy to pass...

If you're remotely talented it shouldn't be that much of a problem. Don't FANG and all those cunts hire out of any degree if you can pass their tests, i don't believe they give a shit if you have the daddys little man pedigree lifestyle.

That said if you're going into research it is slightly different, however if your gpa is 3.25/4 you where never going to go particular far so no stress.
