Any good textbooks to learn quantum?
Also where can I get started on neural networks?
Literally only took a beginner c++ course, open to new languages.

Introduction to Quantum Mechanics by Griffiths is a great introductory book on quantum mechanics, and is standard for many undergraduates. For Postgrad stuff, I have Modern Quantum Mechanics by JJ Sakurai which seems pretty good.

Quantum mechanics sort of sucks. It's a decent predictive model for how particles behave, but it doesn't really answer any of the interesting "why" questions. And none of it is fun to learn. It's just waves modeled as trig functions etc. I've been refreshing on stuff I learned in college and Michel van Biezen has a good youtube course on it. But I remember why I hated it in college now. Schrodinger derivation is sort of interesting how it's just the classical wave equations re-written differently

Griffiths is a weak QM text.
Undergrads should skip it in favor of Shankar as a first text.

I like it because it is more advanced than undergraduate level textbooks in general, but still more approachable than Sakurai, which would be the best book overall.

Can you suggest an EM book that isn't griffiths? Not OP, but I know a good deal of math (analysis/algebra/etc), and am a math major working on a physics minor and our EM class is going to use Griffiths, but I want to get good at the material beforehand with a better text (I looked at Griffiths EM and I really did not like it).
