>>11664088That's... actually kind of interesting. Thank you for the response. That actually brings back memories of an event that happened two years ago, long before whatever current illness I'm dealing with came along, but also during a time of great stress in my life where I woke up from a dead sleep at 3am feeling like my heart was doing somersaults with intense chest pain on the right side of my chest that started diminishing after about 10 minutes. I did go to the hospital that night thinking it may have been a minor heart attack, but they said everything came back normal and sent me on my way.
It's not impossible that was a Prinzmetal angina, and that whatever I'm currently or previously suffering from has kicked off a couple more due to stress in my life and just general weakness from illness. I've had three distinct episodes of this, and all three happened in the evening while at rest (although one did start at 5pm, fairly early in the evening), and they match the general description pretty well.
That said, there are some things that don't match. For one, I have an albuterol inhaler, and it helps these episodes tremendously, to the point to where it just flat out terminated the first one when I used it. The second episode, the inhaler felt like it helped diminish the pain, and the third I actively chose not to use the inhaler because it was milder than the first two by far and I wanted to see what would happen and I had it on hand in case it did get bad. For two, these seem to last longer; the second episode in particular lasted 10 hours, although only brief parts at 5pm and 11pm before using the inhaler were really intense. And for three, the second episode concluded with substantial (but not massive) hemoptysis, which... doesn't really jive with what I'm reading about Prinzmetal angina.
I'll definitely bring it up to the doctor, though. Thanks for mentioning it, anon.
