>>11628854Religion is a form of determinism - it develops a form among many possible forms, building up a tradition. Science behaves in this way to a great extent. However, there is a formal difference. When a religion evolves it generally splits into different religions that also develop in utter confrontation, in spite of their common legacy (check abrahmanic ascendancy tree as an example). On the contrary science can suffer a crisis in which new foundations arise (see Khun for instance). In other words, although science could be the result of choosing one of many different logical systems to articulate the perceptive reality, more than one branch do not coexist. Does it mean it is constrained to the common reality science refers to, in which case only one logical system proves to work out for the purpose of acquiring knowledge? or is it that science suffers from the dogma of realism, i.e. it assumes a priori that there is just one possible logical system, when it might be that in reality more than one is possible?
