from what i've heard, the future doesn't exist until time progresses to that point. if so, could the only way to travel to the future be travelling to an alternate universe where our future is their present?

you could travel through time to get to the future really quick by going close enough to C. By that point time will have progressed however you will be unable to go back without violating causality. time travel is one way as far as we know.

False. It is merely following the causal chains, start to finish.
The direction we move along time has nothing to do with its being or not being. The way we perceive time has nothing to do with its being or not being.

Depends on how you view time. If you view time like a assembly line where the only valid time is at the end (current time), then neither past/future exist. There are many problems, I'm sure you can think of some with this model. Alternatively, if you view time as a slice of bread where all time from beginning of big bang to end of everything is one big bread, then the distinction between past/present/future nonsense. There are issues with this model as well. Either way, the idea of "time progressing" itself is very crude way of speak, as in its not very concise or precise in what it tries to mean.

Neither past, present, or future exist. These are simply ideas conceived of by humans. Concepts do not exist as they have no physical presence in the universe.

The universe itself is a concept relating all matter and space. By definition there can only be a single universe.

And of course you can not travel through time (a concept) any more than you can travel through justice. Time is simply a measurement of the motion of one object relative to another.
