My dad thinks I'm going to be a failure because I don't want to do a math program

Rising senior here. So basically my dad's always pushed me to apply to summer programs because he thinks they're super important. I applied to Simons, HSHSP, and SSP this year, and got rejected/waitlisted or they were cancelled. So, once he found out this month, he began pushing me to apply to this fancy math camps at MIT. The issue is, I can't stand math. I've always been a high achiever so people think it's weird when I say I'm just in regular math. The application process requires a four hour math test, and the program itself has 4-8 hours of math every fucking day for 5-6 weeks. Listen, I can barely stand to do my school's math homework for 1-2 hours a day. I would literally take any other program over a math one over the summer - science, music, writing, (okay I might be opposed to a military training camp), practically anything else.

I want to apply to science programs since I want to major in bio/chem for premed.
