Why is Phrenology considered a pseudo-science? Is it because its "racist"? I believe it is a creditable science with data support it.

It could be way more sophisticated now. We abandoned the field back when shit was still rudimentary so of course it looks barbaric in hindsight. But using modern tools and tech we could glean a lot from brain structure.

Why would humans be so prone to judging the character of other people by their appearance if there was no selective pressure for this behavior? And why would there be a selective pressure for this behavior unless it actually worked?

Phrenology is probably more of an art than a science, but there is obviously something to it.

This isn't about hair style, it's about skull shape. That skull shape is clearly associated with dishonesty and has been for a long time. This isn't purely coincidental, there is something to it.
