Why isn't discrete math taught in High school?

Not sure if true for most high schools but anecdotally I've seen it to be true so far. Discrete math forces you to think no matter what, while calculus can be "cheesed" in high school by memorizing formulas. Why do you guys think they do this? Is it because "calculus" sounds very fancy, as a name?
