You also ignore that during all of the "Islamic Golden Age", muslims were constantly waring the Byzantines + several other christian kingdoms around the Mediterranean sea, tons of Hindu states and conducting slave raids into Africa and Russia and this includes those lands where the majority of scientists and artists originate from, Mesopotamia and Persia.

Some of them were even executed. The obsession with the Koran, which is what Muslims mean when they say that they value knowledge has already been there.

Much of the Koran specifically deals with how people should behave in both public and private. There has never been a time where muslims simply ignored traditional values which as a matter of fact were mostly explicitely written in the Koran. Failing to follow said rules could end you with charges of blasphemy, apostasy or idolatry, all of which mandated execution.
