I was given this problem and got it wrong, could someone explain why?

Given:
Angle = 34 Degrees
Sides are 20 and 15
Figure is NOT drawn to scale

Method:
I said lets divide the triangle in half, that way we'd have a right angle in the middle, and could get the two corners to be 73 degrees each which means the missing side is 20. But this was wrong, why?
