I'm a research scientist, but I rarely use calculus specifically. Most of what I do is statistics and linear algebra.

Calculus has only come up a few times for certain models we've used.

A lot of people do more advanced mathematics without realising it.
Explicitly solving problems on paper is what school taught you what mathematics is. People that haven't explicitly done calculus, don't realise they are doing calculus, without realising it.
There are plenty of smart people doing """simple""" jobs that never received a decent education.
