Satan is just an old name for "Saturn" and yes Saturn was connected to goats -- or rather goats were seen as being connected to Saturn -- during the polar configuration because of the crescent of light (from The Sun) shining on Saturn. The horns of goats (and some other animals) resembled this, people took notice and that's where the association comes from. Satan isn't a magic diety, such a creature doesn't exist, it's not real, Saturn however is real and there's nothing evil about it, it's just an old cooled down inactive dwarf star.
By the way, one could say that
