What is scientific about believing we magically turn into nothingness when we die? I'm pretty sure this belief is just for either people with a small mind who don't actually think about anything to the point they don't even know what thinking is and have simply attributed the word to something else entirely like that autist who laughs at all the wrong things because he doesn't know what humor is, or it's people who confuse the nobility of acceptance of the matter-of-"fact"ness of reality with intelligence and consequently have a small mind.
The most atheist thing I can think of is that iff the number and possible ordering of things are ultimately finite, i.e. God doesn't necessarily exist, and reality is infinite, then you exist over and over and you will exist again. The "time" you are dead would be but an instant.
