Alright guys, I might be completely retarded
but would putting a mixture of peroxide and maybe water into a cooler mist humidifier to create a peroxide fog be good to disinfect things? such as masks/groceries and such? say in a bin?

I'm not even sure peroxide kills covid but just a random idea

the odds of those particles coming close to eachother might be astronomical, considering the space between gas particles is enormous on the micro level

I honestly don't know anything about this stuff its just a random thought, fogger into a bin seal it and fog it for a certain amount of time?

Hospitals use peroxide foggers to disinfect equipment and rooms so I am thinking its a possibility

It's not as bad as an idea as some of the anons are implying but neither you nor anybody here is qualified to discuss it, that's why they're dismissing it.
Unless you're set up for microbial testing and you have a H2O2 sensor (I can vouch for the draeger ones) you have no way to run the tests safely or even test your results.

Yes it exists and there's a few products on the market using nebulised hydrogen peroxide or peracetic acid. That one is for cleaning medical devices and has a small chamber for putting them into which is the closest to what you're talking about in the OP which I can think of. IIRC they tested it on surgical masks and things but decided not to pursue it, whether that's because it didn't disinfect sufficiently or it degraded the material too badly I'm not sure.
