>>11616305There actually IS evidence. Everything we do know about the brain, however little you might claim it is, points to the overwhelming importance of neurons in any processes happening there.
Neurons seem to be individual cells that operate by taking inputs and generating outputs in a very "biological machine"-like fashion. There is 0 reason as of yet to suppose anything else is guiding this process, because we know from experience with AI that even a very simple neuron model can create powerful classification algorithms, when you increase the number of neurons and connections.
Stop pretending like the idea of a biological machine is as baseless and wacky as any of the other shit you can imagine. Or well, you can't even imagine it, can you?
>>11616355None of that is actually necessary. The brain operates over our body, demonstrably, as people with damages to the brain structures are shown to loss body functions with remarkable consistency.
So even if you can prove consciousness exists outside the brain, it must be interacting with the brain by some mechanism, because the brain directly correlates to what happens in the body, with overwhelming literature to support it.
Plus you should really think about your claim. You're saying that "consciusness exists outside of the brain bro just trust me" somehow is a scientific hypothesis on the same level as "literally everything ever observed about the body and brain indicates the brain controls the body at every level, so consciousness must also be controlled/deeply affected by the brain". You're not scientifically literate, are you?
