The end of high density?

Given how the lesser dense cities have dealt with this virus better than dense cities (see Australia), is this the end of high density living being pushed in our communities?
If so, are we facing now the biggest suburban sprawl crisis this world has ever seen?

I mean how will build all of our cities like Houston and sustain agricultural and native regrowth environments?
Will this stimulate the oil industry? Or will it create a government push to finally switch to less environmentally polluting resources (if they are less polluting to create in the first place)?

Will Australia and Brazil be flooded with more Indians? Africa will be avoided because it's just too undeveloped and lacks any system to implement this. The North American prairies are full. Arabia, Centrasia and Eastern China are deserts. Siberia and Antartica are just too cold for mass development on that scale.
In fact, if desal is taking out of the equation and Australia rendered "at capacity", will the Amazon exist after this?
