There is this autist on /lit/ that said he meditates while focusing on a candle for 30 minutes. This thread isn't about the benefits/drawbacks of mediation itself, but the effects of staring at a candle for 30 minutes everyday. How damaging would this be to one's eyesight? There is an alternate form of this where you stare for 1-3 minutes then you close your eyes and focus on the mental image of the candle. How bad would that be if done every day? Would this be any worse if you are myopic? The distance you are supposed to be from the candle is a meter or two.
