Got rejected from 6 different master's programs and the last one gave me an offer but won't give funding. I don't know what to make out of this. I was happy at first from the offer but this funding issue is making me feel like the odd retard out. Everyone is saying that unfunded Phds are an obvious scam but I'm getting mixed answers in the master's degree case. Some say it's normal and some say it isn't.
>Master's programs are typically unfunded in the US. You don't produce a lot of research after 1-2 years and aren't seen as worth the money.
>You're a borderline reject who's probably only good for money. You got bad grades, almost didn't make the cut, etc. but we will take your money
Should I just stop right now when the signs are telling me that I shouldn't do this or is this what everyone has to go through?
