What would be a more important breakthrough to the field of CS:
ML or TCS?
ML seems like its become a buzzword and when I took the course, I never felt more bored in a CS course. It felt as if the professors were hoping that general software computational breakthroughs would lead to advancements in ML. ML just seems like a by product of computational work done the past few decades.
