Does $10*0.999...=9.999...$ ? I've seen people assuming it does/doesn't and evidence for and against. Can I get a clear answer?

Yes, they are equal. No it doesn't matter. This is because 0.999... = 1 and 9.999... = 10

The question is, to what would the value be equal after an infinite amount of time has passed? The answer is that the computer would've written out an infinite amount of 9's and the value would be equal to 1.
