At my school (top 50 bio program US) some bitch professor in the bio department got fired for getting drunk at a conference and hooking up with her PhD students.

Another kid told me they party hard.

Maybe it's different in the states.

We used to have parties in the physics building when I was a masters student. Eventually one of them got a bit too wild. We broke some glasses in the stairwell, someone passed out in their own vomit, broke some more stuff. Got in quite a lot of trouble but then nothing bad happened.

Biology has some pretty extreme personalities and I think the women I've met have always been worse than the men. Anthropology and law are like this as well.
