How is the concept of causality explained in philosophy of science? When I try to explain to myself what I mean by cause and effect, my intuition is to explain it by reference to storytelling, and the terms cause and effect because narrative description. I want to say that that's all a theory really is, a narrative we believe about how the world works. I fear this is too simplistic but I don't think my mind is much more sophisticated than this, that's probably how I really view the world.

I call bullshit. How the fuck do 800 people die from that? How the fuck does that even happen? Ge their foot caught in a bedsheet and fall out of bed and hit their head on something hard? Get the bedsheets wrapped around their neck and somehow suffocate? I can imagine the odd freak accident happening like that, but not fucking 800+ in one year.
