However, a full and proper treatment of set theory goes beyond introductory use and motivation that you'll end up confusing yourself before you hit other topics. Set theory (and other logic topics, such as ZFC, type theories, recursion theory, model theory, etc.) are all fascinating subjects, but you don't want to dive deep into those before experience basic algebra and analysis, at least in my opinion.
