Humans are not in danger of extinction due to sexual activity timing constraints, only incels need be worried. There are numerous benefits for societally pressure to delay sexual relationships given our modern culture. Certainly the rules are too strict though, some young women are mature and knowledgeable about their bodies and desires before the current recognized age of consent.
