Furthermore, car companies already have at least an inkling of a plan to switch to electric at this point, I doubt one month of collapsed oil prices, or even a year, will be enough to make them change their plans, especially when the public is still shoving the effect of climate change down their throats. They know that even if it's safe this year, they'll get the heat in the future.
Of course there's the possibility that industry, and by extension free society, is never restored back to what it was. In that case our emissions will likely plummet, not from any adoption of clean energy. Already now we're looking at another 18 months of some degree of lockdown.
