I have a thought experiment that may be possible to do one day, and will utilize quantum observation to test the limits of consciousness, as well as Boltzmann Brain theory's practical properties.
Let's take a conscious sentient observer, Observer A.
Let us make a PERFECT duplicate copy of Observer A.
A1 and A2
Have them be an equal distance apart from the quantum particle or dual property thingamajig we might have some other name for, that they are observing, and have them both attempt to observe it, simultaneously, at the same precise moment in time.
This could end up being a test of precision, rather than anything else, but won't we be able to narrow the scope of our precision at some point in the future, to a level that will adequately demonstrate whether or not A1 or A2 have some differentiation involving Schrodinger observations?
If A1 and A2 have some kind of intrinsic link, that we can not identify, that becomes apparent from the results of this test...
Couldn't we just hook some dumbass's brain up to an extremely powerful transmitter and receiver, and have them try to interact with their potential Boltzmann double, across the universe?
-experiments for type 2+ civilizations- Probably...
I apologize if this is too fantasy driven for /sci's/ liking. But why can't I have a spontaneous Boltzmann double, at the same time, that I am currently alive? The universe is a big ass place. I don't want to know the math. I'm sure the odds can be said to be low, but I'm also thinking I could transmit or receive for a few billions years to compensate.
