I do not consider anything but perfect performance on these tests, answering all the questions correctly, acceptable. One should train on a sample problem set which includes all of the dozen or so different puzzles that IQ testers like to test, until one can do them all. This is not prohibitively difficult for most people, it is harder to learn a real skill.
