I'm pretty sure the pi has a definite number, it might be in 10^100, but it's still a definitive number. For humans it's inherently infinite, so why not make use of it?
There's no free energy, or infinite energy or even infinity itself, technically, but for our purposes there's so much matter in the universe, even though it's minority of the universe, that you could have googolion of people without a worry. Which we would call infinite in our current times, even though it clearly has a limit.
