I met some PhD candidates that I can't even describe how fucking stupid they are
80% them want to become "Scientists" to get society's approval because they lack in every single other domain and they have no character, they all look and think the same, bunch of brainlets who got straight A's trough college because they just use memory, and are very incompetent in critical thinking, original thoughts, imagination and open mindness

for some reason every single one of them thinks he's the next genius, their minds are in a complete solipsism state

There's a filtration process based around social connections and secret proceedings held by a relatively conserved in-group. Academia and PhD programs are less about using the students for labor, and more about power, and resource management.

Research competence is not the same as teaching competence. Also the peer review process is not perfect and nepotism, can still get incompetent people jobs. I've seen grown physicists who couldn't understand that a mirror does not change the chirality of light bouncing off of it. (hint: mirrors apply a global phase and the electromagnetic field has a U(1) symmetry). I've heard horror stories from friends in statistics about stats PhDs who don't understand correlation != causation.

Doctorate students in Math, Literature, and Philosophy are, in my experience, the most brilliant and intelligent group of people on the planet.
Doctorate students in every other field (including physics and other non math stem fields) are on average, average intelligence.

All the smartest PhD's get sucked up by finance or other private industries so what you're left with in academia are pretty much all of the rejects and "last picks" which is why college professors are so notoriously incompetent.

A lot of them are NPCs, possibly think never woke up due to being accepted by society for being good at obedience. Probably never got too terribly ugly or had any kind of trauma happen to them so pretty much just hardcore rule followers and people pleasers. If you want to actually produce something meaningful, you can no longer do it within the system that exists. There are too many diversity quotas that must be obeyed and hoops to be jumped through to secure funding that the government is effectively dictating your actions. You have little freedom to decide your own course of action. If you don't go through that system and just become a NEET that does math all day, you could maybe do something great.
