>>11592965I tried a variation of this idea where I'd dedicate 15 minutes of concentrated effort to appreciating the grass. It took a while to find some decent grass worth appreciating - I found a cute little patch of the good stuff. I opted to sit next to the grass rather than in the grass, otherwise I'd be sitting crosslegged staring down at the grass beneath my crotch for 15 minutes. I hyperfocused on the grass patch and thought about only grass. I was exploring a dialogue in my head about grass which evolved into one or two unsettling perspectives that stuck with me for the remaining 8 minutes. It's difficult to explain the experience. I'm curious what fraction of people who try this will end up resenting grass.
