>>11592499You don't need mathematica. As a product, it's shit. It doesn't do anything that sagemath can't do and it's not even free. The idea that you need to pay for it is enough to scare away the majority of programmers. The only reason mathematica lives is because wolfram markets to amateurs.
In the case of math software, there is no shortage of enserfed grad students and other nerds who gladly write code for free. There are entire programming languages out there that thrive off this model.
