Cali may have predicted 1,743 deaths from corona during the shutdown, but flu deaths are going to drop to nearly zero also.

Comparing predicted deaths of this year that we went in shutdown, to recorded deaths several years ago without shutdown is comparing apples to oranges.

1. The only reason deaths in California may be projected to be 1,743 is if they continue the strict quarantine
2. Flu/pneumonia killed 6,340 people in California last year, that's 17 people per day. Covid-19 killed 77 people in California yesterday alone. It is now the 3rd highest killer in California only beaten by Heart Disease and Cancer which are not contagious.
3. Increasing the number of cases will kill far more than just Covid patients because it restricts people's access to healthcare.

So you are spreading misinformation through the use of statistics.

Keep in mind however that the nature of the covid fatality reporting means that for the death a 96 year old with heart disease, if there was any suspicion that they might have had covid symptoms, whether or not any test was ever done, will be counted as a covid death.
