Figure this is the place to ask.

I just want a degree. My reasons don't much matter. It will not require me to go into debt.

I've never been great at math and am looking to pursue a degree in some type of engineering.

Recognizing that tutoring at whatever school I go to is a good option... what other solid ways are there to improve my capabilities when it comes to dealing with college level algebra?

Preferably looking for things that I can begin doing now to better prepare myself.
