how come when a person falls off a 10 story building they die.
But when a bug does, they dont.

But pretty much, an elephant's skin will just rip apart and explode because the volume is big, meaning mass is big and so is weight thus energy. But a bug's skin? Its energy isn't so big so their 'skin' can support it
Also, there is a very very small chance you will survive that fall

It really isn't that small, just depends on what you land on and at what angle. There are multiple instances of surviving a fall at terminal velocity.

If you dropped an ant from orbit (and somehow kept it from freezing or dying without air) the fall itself wouldn't actually hurt it at all.

Is that a building consisting of 10 stories? Seems a bit abstract and strange. Like something which could drive a human insane or make him wanna kill himself. Maybe that's why they died. A bug probably isn't effected because it doesn't understand or care.
