I just graduated with a degree in comp bio but have been working full time as a wagie for a year.
Is it possible for me to make a meaningful and impactful contribution to science by trying out some shit on the under-studied genes?
I'm hoping I can figure out some functions of hardly studied genes through docking or some shit.
My thinking is that if some of these genes have hardly any studies done on them, any arbitrary research can be good overall.
