Depends on the department/university. My own department is pretty laid-back and everyone is fairly well-adjusted. There are a few cunty grad students, but they largely keep to themselves, mostly because no one else wants to put up with their shit. And there's one old professor who's extremely eccentric and loves huffing his own farts, but he's mostly harmless.
